Deja walked out into the open from the forest, she had been roaming around some time now finding a place to call home. This place was very interesting, war torn, scared people in need of a 'savior' Very easy to exploit if she has her way.
Spreading her dark wings she grinned as she stood on the cliff face overlooking a small village. This shall be where she will start. Wondering about her other 'friend' she just met she made her way down to the village, she wasn't far off now.

The wind kicked up, blowing her hair gently for a moment before she was greeted by the man again.
His slim form soon coming to stand beside her as she walked.
"I have found nothing."
He didn't really feel ashamed...he wasn't her slave but he chose to serve her.
"Have you found a place?"
His thick, deep voice said, like music in the forest.

Deja let the air flutter through her feathered wings, already was she envisioning a grand place here. Just as the wind past through her hair, blowing it across her face; she would make those angles pay for what they did to her.
Walking over to the edge Deja folded her wings in then jumped off. She let herself free fall until she finally spread her wings and picked up the north east wind current. Gracefully she glided down to the village with ease. The moon was high in the nights sky and Deja's dark figure was illuminated. Anyone would have thought she a God, and this wasn't something she would complain about. If these people were naive enough they will follow her.
Coming closer to the ground she tilted her wings and landed with ease and elegance. Her hair fell over her face as her head bowed down and when she lifted it her hair fell back in it place. For added effect she then made it float about her, flicking this way and that as if it had a life of its own. Her eyes where a deep violet with grey rims tonight, and tonight she was planing to capture the hearts of all in this village. They will be her people now, treated with better care.

Angel followed her, snapping out his mismatched wings and following silently. His turquoise eyes glowed in the moonlight, though he had very little time to spend with her...he had to get to sleep...
He had only a few minutes before he was literally dragged back into his sleep and he did not wish to put on that kind of show infront of all these people...that would not help their cause.
Quietly he walked beside her, tucking in his wings but never letting them completely vanish against his back. They were far too large to hid.
"What are we to do?"

Deja felt Angel land next to her and slightly frowned, she could sense his tiredness but she new that he wouldn't let that hinder them. Not now. Walking down the street, the only street into the town itself Deja noted some windows close and lights turn off. Already people were thinking it was an attack of some sort, yet surely they had payed their dues enough already?
"What we are to do is to win these people over, this is where i will build my empire. With your help of course."
She turned back and smiled at him sweetly.
"I need to gain their trust..."
Deja looked around the town thinking of how to achieve that.

Angel looked around, though he knew that his appearance did not help them any. The black and white horns protruding from his temples, the mismatched wings, the symbols over his bare chest...they had a right to be frightened.
"Should I change my appearance? I do not wish to frighten them."
His turquoise eyes looked down at Deja, seeing the ambition and ideas flashing through her eyes.
He however showed little emotion. It happened when you have your heart cut out. There was nothing more than a ball of ice to replace it, though it seemed to make him grow colder and colder.
Quietly he stood next to her, well aware that the people around them were afraid and weary of them. It was obvious that at the moment, they appeared to be a threat.
The silver pupils moved from door to door, watching curtains move softly as people peered through the foggy glass of their warm houses.

Deja began to walk to the towns center, a place she knew she would find what she looked for. How interesting as she walked through the town she found many things to be very to her liking. Adorned atop the houses were statues of gargoyles and some had angels. This town was fashioned in a Gothic styled architecture, something that Deja found quite welcoming.
When she reached her destination she was amused by what she saw. The center piece was a water fountain with and angel in is center, it wings spread out around itself as other angels sat on rocks under it.
"How quaint."
A man came out into the street with a few others, it seemed like he was the leader of this place. He looked frightened though tried not to show it but had it not have been Deja he was addressing then he would of past.
"Are you the one?"
Deja cut him off, "I'm in need of a place to sleep, my companion and I have been searching for some time now and I'm sure you can see we are tired."
Deja motioned to Angel and the man nodded at them, then to a man beside him.
"This inn keep will take you in, its right over there."
He seemed dishearten but not yet given up hope, after all they had wings and they looked like real angels.

Angel didn't speak, though he didn't change his appearance..seemed that the people that inhabited this place weren't too frightened...just...awed.
He watched the man fumble for words, feeling the eyes on him. Although both he and Deja had wings, he was the one that looked more angelic. She wore black and looked more evil then him. His hair was white and he looked quite angelic....the symbols on his sides and face were just on indication of that.
He simply nodded to the men, listening carefully to their words and movements. From the leader's heartbeat, it was clear that he was both anxious and nervous. Perhaps they had scared him...though it made no difference. To hid themselves from these men would be pointless.

Deja nodded and let herself be led by away by a stocky old man of at least 40 summers. She took on more glance at the statue and smiled So this town is in need of an angel... Deja glance over her shoulder to see Angel following and also to get a good look at the leader of the town. He is a small man of roughly 50 summers, seems to have lost all hope in living really though not enough to let himself die. She figured that most the people her would be like that, ready to die but not willing enough.
As they walked to the left and into a dark pub, the coals in the fireplace the only thing giving light, Deja had to pull her wings in close to maneuver around the table. The inn keep noticed this and grunted.
"It may not be much but its home"
Deja found his comment annoying and thus ignored it.
"The rooms are up those stairs, shall you be staying in one or-"
"Two rooms will do."
The inn keep handed the keys to Deja and she past one onto Angel then proceeded up the stairs, leaving both men alone.
Entering her room she stood there silently in the middle of it, staring out the window as the moon flooded in.

Angel had to do the same to keep from knocking down every chair and table. He watched Deja walked up the stairs and sighed quietly.
He silently spoke to the inn keep and walked up the stairs as well.
He took his key and opened the door that led to his seperate room.
He quickly closed and locked it before he was soon hanging from the ceiling, blood dripping from his white hair....the chains holding him still as the whip traveled across his back and over again....

Deja had a restless sleep, she couldn't help but feel unwanted presences around her and it infuriated her to know ends. At one point she even got up and was about to see if Angel couldn't sleep as well but to her surprise those unwanted presences came from his room.
"How interesting"
She remembering herself saying before retiring to her chambers.
This morning didn't seem any different and a few presences still lingered about the inn. She made her way down the stairs and gracefully walked over to a comfy looking chair near the fireplace. Outside it was snowing that she didn't feel the cold the fire was welcoming. It cast shadows about the room and Deja quite liked it.

In the morning....he was released from his chain bonds...dropped to the floor and just layed there in a bloody heap...
He grunted and groaned, his body looked like a chainsaw had gotten to him....but he ignorred the pain and crawled to the bed. Then he pulled himself up onto the bed and laid down, pulling the covers up around himself to keep him warm. A violent shutter rippled through his body before he drifted off to sleep...more unconcious then sleep...
