It was different this time.
Perhaps she had gone to far.
Taken one to many drugs,
one more drink than necessary to forget.
An obviously drunken, high, Lily tumbled through the alley, her high heels stumbling and creating off beats with her bodies staggering.
Yes, one to many drinks, but not of the alcoholic kind.
The vampiress swam in a view of blurred stones and fuzzy puddles beneath her feet, and suddenly, cold, hard ground.
A soft giggle fell into the night as Lily's face found the wet, muddy cement of the alley, and she licked at her lips slowly.
Blood tasted so good after a long night of partying.
Laughing drunkenly, Lily turned over so that she could view the opening to the alley, her eyes the only light in the night air.
The ecstasy of blood gushed through her entire body, mixing with the many other excrements of her nights journey.
Lily wished she hadn't taken that last human, that way she could have fallen asleep in a drunken haze upon the alley floor.
Oh, what a long night this would be.

Wenona was standing high above Lily, on top of one of the buildings. She didn't need to be able to see to know what had happened to her. The stupid laughing and sound of her feet hitting the ground at odd times was all the evidence Wenona needed to conclude that Lily was completely off her face.
She closed her eyes, and sighed long and loud. Once upon a time Wenona had believed that Lily would actually pull through, would be able to live without being so dependant on drugs. Wenona had had so much faith in the girl. Listening to her now . . . she was wrong.
Would there even be a point in Wenona going and talking to her now? Would Lily ever remember it in the morning? Would Lily even recognise her? She doubted it would be an understandable conversation in any rate.
No, Wenona couldn't talk to her now. She doubted Lily would listen, and felt far too let-down. All she could do now was remain standing, with the wind pulling at her dress, listening over the drunken, high girl stumbling through the alleyways.

The bellowing ringing of voices and sounds streamed into the man's ears.
The voices were scrambled to most, just a loud mix of jumbled up words but to this man, he could sift through each word and sentence, pinpoint the person speaking it...
His turquoise eyes looked down at the city below. Standing uptop a tall and firm building, he looked down at the crowds of people. It was late and yet....they continued to walk around like ants at work...
They were filthy creatures, indulging on things like alcohol and others terrible things....they smoked, polluting their enviroments and it was a sad and real truth....
He had always had a sore hate for humans....They had ruined their world...why had he ben put here?
He sighed, his white and black stripped horns flashing in the light as he turned his head....
Well...it sounded like someone had just fallen flat on their face and was now...laughing...pathetic...
He turned his body, his mismatched wings untucked so they could relax.
Walking with the humans was hard....they were always suspicious of those who looked different...
Thankfully he had a human form..but it wasn't his favorite form.
He sighed again and walked to the edge of the building and looked down...
There was a black haired girl, slim and beautiful laying on the groud.
She was laughing idiotically and from the smell of her breath...she had just been drinking a few helpless humans...
He rubbing his temples, the symbols on his face and the rest of his body seemed to completely contrast his pale skin.
Then he stepped off the roof and fell to the ground, falling about 12 storied before landing silently....without having ever opened his wings or flying...
His eyes looked down at her and he spoke.
"You seem to have just discovered gravity m'lady."

Lily hiccuped, giggling and turning over to face the blurry man.
Even through her drunken state, she could see his solid stature, his pale body, and the lasting presence of a handsome man. Suddenly, she felt an over whelming desire to touch the thing speaking to her.
Lifting up her lean body, she placed two of her hands upon the wet cement, her legs falling behind her gracefully.
From her position, she looked up at him, her ruby eyes beating vibrantly with her pumping blood.
An outburst of drunken laughter escaped from her perfect lips, and she struggled not to let her hands collapse from her giggling.
"M...M'ladddie?"
Lily giggled again, her fangs flashing in the moonlight as she stumbled through the words.

His eyes watched her quietly, obviously no interested in her body or anything about her physically...
He was only concerned that some ass hole would take advantage of her while she was in this state...she was vulnerable.
"Aye. You are quite bubbly tonight aren't you?"
He was an oldfashioned kind of guy. He figured that if all these humans wanted to use all this slang and junk, he would use his normal accent and way of speaking.
He had an almost musical voice, crisp and beautiful...like the sounds of the heavens above were raining down.
"Would you care for some help up?"

Lily shrieked with laughter quite suddenly, her arms giving way and collapsing, a perfectly sculpted head falling carelessly to the ground. She didn't feel it, she just continued to laugh until the musical laughter dulled to a quite dim, and she turned her head up once again to admire the beautiful creature.
"You think your so pretty, dont you?"
Lily pouted, her eyes barely focusing on the man, a innocent bliss playing upon her vampiric features.
"Pretty voice man, your nothing I cant handle."
Sighing quietly, Lily placed her pale cheek to the wet cement, embracing the soothing cold.

Then man sighed, looking quietly down at the drunken woman. She was a mess, a pathetic heap of drugs and alcohol...two very unhealthy things. She was lucky she hadn't overdosed...but with the way she was acting now, she didn't seem to care.
He quietly kneeled down and lifted her up, his arms craddling her against his muscular build as he turned and walked further down the alley.
It didn't matter if she wanted help or not, she needed it...
She was obviously incapable of taking care of herself and she needed to rest.
His legs moved shiftly and gracefully, strong and powerful limbs moving in unisine.
Then he turned a corner and walked to a door in the wall.
It opened without him turning or moving to open it...just swinging open.
He walked in and candles flickered on, no artaficial lighting anywhere in the house.
It was a hidden place, a place where most didn't even known was there.
It was two room, a kitchen/living room and a bedroom.
He walked to the bedroom and layed her down on the bed.
His turquoise eyes looking down at her quietly.

Lily didn't even move from the bed, her pathetic earlier attempts to struggle free teaching her quickly.
The words slurred and mixed together, forming one slow sentence.
"Wha..What was tha for?"
Groaning and turning away from his glare, Lily found herself sinking into the mattress, she liked the bed, it was soft.
A sudden cry came from her, a soft, simple sob.
She didn't know where she was.
In her drunken state, Lily didn't know where she was, who she was with, or how she had gotten there. She didn't realize her whole body was slipping into a comatic state, one where she didn't control her emotions, or realize any simple act, such as sobbing.
"Who are you..Pretty man?"
Her voice broke slightly, and another sob filled the room.
Lily looked back up to the torquise eyes, frusteration clear in her amber orbs. Tears streaked her perfect cheekbones, and a sudden irritated rage filled her voice.
"Why cant all the pretty men just leave me alone!"

The man didn't speak.
He quietly walked into the other room for a moment and returned with a warm wet rag. Quietly he drapped it over her forehead to keep away any fever if it came. Then he sighed. His hand touched her shoulder and his arm jerked slightly, pulling the drugs and alcohol from her body.
He wouldn't be able to take all of it..otherwise he would overdose himself but he figured he could take most of it out on her sake.
Quietly once he was finished, he pulled his hand away and said,"You are safe."
His voice may have sounded unfamiliar or strange but ina way, his voice was gentle and heavenly.

Wenona, without eyes to guide her, followed this strange man with Lily. Listening over her, Wenona was guarding her in her own strange way. It took her some time to come to the conclusion that the man would not hurt Lily. Lily was in no state to tell in any case, and had given the man no fight when he had lifted her.
Wenona couldn't go into the house, it was not her place to trespass upon the man's land when, as she listened, she could tell Lily was fine.
So, she climbed back to the roof and sat, always aware of the sounds around her and the feel of the moonlight against her skin, but never seeing it's beauty. Perhaps one day Lily wouldn't need Wenona. She hoped so.

Lily stopped her screaming as the cool, soothing towel rested upon her forehead, and she laid back down slowly.
Something told her she was safe, something about his presence made her want to quiet down. It gave her a blissfully easiness that she was far too drunk to appreciate.
As the drugs slowly drifted from her used, wasted body, Lily sighed deeply and felt a sweet twinge of consciousness cling to her disordered thoughts. Suddenly the room became clearer, the lights stopped pulsing, and her eyes swiftly stopped their vibrating glow.
The soft voice reached her just as a form of hysterics threatened to clasp her lungs.
"oh.."
She whispered hoarsely, trusting his voice more than she trusted herself.
Whatever was happening, she didn't understand. She remembered lights, flashing, the cold cement, blood...Then the room.
"How...?"
Lily began, exhaustion almost gripping her voice.
"Why am I here?"

He didn't like drugs...didn't like alcohol. He hated the smell of both but he was here to help here. His head was spinning a bit from the drugs that had crept into his body from her but he quietly shook it off.
Then his turquoise eyes drifted to the fireplace.
Quietly he walked over to it and placed a few logs into it, then with a tap of the finger, the wood lit.
Then he walked to the kitchen and after a few minutes he brought out a cup of coffee and a bowl of chicken broth.

Lily's eyes followed the man quietly, never looking away from his silent motions. She was in an odd place, with an odd sense of being. She wanted to freak out, she wanted to run away, but...She felt safe. A comfort she hadn't felt in a long time.
A struggled look fell upon the girls face, as her mind twisted and churned the thought.
Had she ever felt safe before?
Maybe for moments, but she had never felt safe for a long period of time.
God, she was messed up.
"Why do you care about my safety?"
The words were simple, for Lily couldn't contain her curiosity. Most men jumped upon the advantage of Lily being intoxicated, why had he not chosen to walk away?
As he walked to-wards her, Lily turned her nose up in disgust. The smell of food made her nauseous, she couldn't take it.
"No thanks."
She tried to hold a simple smile, but she was just so tired. She wanted to stay awake, she needed to, but her drooping eyelids seemed to disagree.

HE nodded when she refused the food...he didn't like the smell of it either but he hadn't been sure what she was. He had seen the fangs but he wasn't sure.
Quietly he layed the food back in the kitchen and walked back to her.
"I am not a man that would leave you laying there."
Then he looked down at her when her eyes seemed to droop in exhost.
"You may rest here. You are safe."
Quietly he sat down in a chair near her bed.
